Research Assistant at The Democratic Society

Salary: €28 000 - €31 000

About the Role

The Research Assistant will work within the Design and Research team at Democratic Society to support the further development and delivery of our Research Strategy and support the way in which the organisation does research and learning to develop better democratic infrastructures. This role will operate across different programmes within the organisation to provide support on research project and for knowledge formation in the field of democratic innovation work. This role would ideally be based where Democratic Society has already offices (Brussels, Berlin, Vienna, London) but will link closely to all offices across Europe and will contribute to wider projects across the organisation.

Responsibilities

The role will work closely with the Research Manager and other colleagues across the Research and Design Team at Democratic Society and will be expected to provide support on knowledge development and research management, report writing and research governance.

More broadly, their role’s responsibilities will focus on the following areas:

Supporting the execution of research plans to high standard of research quality Developing literature review or case study research within specific parameters on key topics for different programmes and projects Supporting with research participants’ recruitment and research management tasks and undertaking qualitative interviews and contribute to focus groups To summarise findings, record, and prepare briefs to support other members of the research group Contribute to the development of research outputs such as co-authored journal articles/ papers/reports etc Support of research pieces and notes for the purpose of disseminating learning internally and externally in the organisation and for achieving policy impact.
