Associate Professor (m/f/d) for Digital Design, Ningbo / China
The Sino-German Institute of Design and Communication (SGI) at the Zhejiang Wanli University in Ningbo was established based on the cooperation with the Brand University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg in 2018. SGI focuses on teaching and research of the design, communication and management of brands and economics. Cooperating with a select of overseas universities, SGI offers dual-degree bachelor programs in Brand Design, Brand Communication, Brand Management, International Economy and Trade.

Currently, we are offering a position as:

Associate Professor (m/f/d) for Digital Design

Following qualifications are expected:

- Doctorate in a relevant subject or a comparable qualification
- Full professional proficiency of English language
- Practical expertise and university teaching experience
- Research interest
- Intercultural skills

Job description:

The position is set up for 3 years with the possibility of extension and has a workload of 400 hours per academic year, including teaching, holding open lectures and workshops, course design and coordination of teaching materials.

The Associate Professor is required to publish at least 3 papers on journals of SCI, SSCI, A&HCI, EI or equivalent publication in 3 years, and organize at least 1 symposium per year or one international conference in 3 years.

Due to still existing entry restrictions to China, it is an additional requirement to stay on-site in Ningbo for the entire academic year.


Entry level salary RMB 300,000 per year, transportation allowance of RMB 16,000 paid by two installations, accommodation on campus, VISA application assistance, medical insurance. Fees for additional teaching.
