Pu Chen

Pu Chen born in Shanghai, since 1999 she lives and works in Hamburg and Shanghai. She gradueted with Dipl. Designerin(FH) from HAW Hamburg with Prof. Jovica Veljovic and received her Ph.D. in design from the Bauhaus-University in Weimar. She is a communication designer and researcher who teaches in China and Germany. Currently is she a lecturer at the Faculty of Design, Media and Information (DMI) HAW Hamburg. In 2017, Chen held a visiting position as researcher of Visual Communication at the Faculty of Design in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. From 2006 to 2016 she was a assistant professor of the department of communication design at the Shanghai Institute of Technology (SIT). Since 2015 she is co-founder of prii Institute of Visual Culture in Hamburg. Sie is also an member of Shanghai Biennial of Asia Graphic Design.
